Mice

16 June 2016
TO ALL RESIDENTS- MICE
Despite monthly visits from Rentokil, there have been some recent sightings of mice around the terraces in the podium garden and within the bin stores- whereas the time of year has much to do with it, “easy food” will only encourage them further.
Therefore, would all residents please stop leaving food out in the garden for them and also take extra care when disposing of household waste into the wheelie bins (by double-bagging) to ensure no scraps of food are spilt onto the bin store floors.
Your help is much appreciated.
Thank you.

On-line Maintenance Reporting system for Admiralty Quarter

We have set up an on-line maintenance reporting system on the AQ website.

This is for Leaseholders and residents to report and notify us of any building or maintenance issues requiring attention at AQ- all reports will be logged, investigated and actioned, and the person logging the issue will receive email updates accordingly.

We hope this will provide a simple and quick route to advise us of any maintenance issues in AQ.  Please note this system is to be used for building maintenance issues only and for all other queries, including anti-social issues, please contact the Managing Agent directly.

Please visit Report a Problem page for more information.

Local Road Closures Early January 2016

We have been advised that there will be road closures around Admiralty Quarter while work takes place on installing a high voltage supply to the Naval Base.

Please read the following notice supplied by Colas Traffic Management for full details.

QUEEN ELIZABETH CLASS AIRCRAFT CARRIERS – HIGH VOLTAGE SUPPLY

Work on the installation of a new underground power supply in the area will commence in January 2016.
The installation of this new service is part of preparations within the Naval Base for the arrival of the Navy’s new aircraft carriers and the on-shore support facilities currently being constructed within the Naval base.  To ensure that the wider power network is not affected by the increased requirements of the Naval base, a new supply is required. This new cable will run from Warblington Street substation and then follow:-

St Georges Road
St Georges Square
Butcher Street
Beneficial Street
Hanover Street
Admiralty Road
The cable will then enter the base at Bonfire Corner.

During these works, excavations will be carried out in the roads listed above, which will cause some disruption.  Some road closures and parking suspensions will be necessary, however, it is hoped to keep these to a minimum. Completion of work is expected to take around three months but it is anticipated that disruption in each road will be no more than 3 weeks.

Admiralty Road and Bonfire Corner

Work will commence at the Queen Street junction of Admiralty Road on 5 January and will progress down Admiralty Road to Bonfire Corner but due to the narrow width of the road, it will be necessary to close the road in sections- in order to maintain access to the car park during this time, the one way system on Bonfire Corner will be lifted and signs will be put in place directing residents to use this route for both access and exit from the car park.

Any residents wishing to get up to date information about the works, including specific times for any road closures or disruptions, can follow us on Twitter or Facebook; PortsmouthQEC. However, should you have any questions with regard to the works, please call Colas Traffic Management on 02392 310962.
